A custom architectural metal and millwork fit-out for an automotive-technology firm — glass-and-steel conference rooms, a blackened-steel coffee bar, riveted aluminum lobby and laser-cut features throughout.
The CDK office project is a showcase of what custom architectural metalwork can do for a commercial interior. Architectural Systems fabricated and installed a suite of feature elements that turned a workplace into a reflection of the company’s identity in the automotive-technology sector.
At the heart of the space, conference rooms of glass, radiused steel, wood and acoustical foam balance transparency with acoustic control. The East Coffee Bar, clad in angular blackened steel and set with backlit logos and custom countertops, anchors the break area, while a lobby clad in riveted aluminum sheets frames custom employee login stations beneath backlit laser-cut aluminum themes.
The narrative continues with a custom-built chassis frame that mirrors the firm’s concentration in the automotive sector, an architectural “fan coil” seating wrap, a “Crash Test Dummy” seating area, and custom laser-cut employee cubbies — every element fabricated to an interior finish standard and coordinated with the glass, wood and acoustical scopes around it.
